Responsibilities

  • Lead project coordination meetings and approve payment requisitions
  • Support Quality and Safety Engineers, participating in audits
  • Ensure timely development of shop drawings and As-Built documentation
  • Mentor team on contractual obligations and evaluate construction methods
  • Assist in estimating bids, proposals, and change orders, and engage in technical discussions
  • Lead and provide direction to the project team
  • Analyze project data to identify concerns and assess impacts
  • Coordinate with legal and senior management for contractual compliance
  • Support project execution in both office and on-site settings

Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders and ensuring the project is completed on time and on budget. The PM will have expert knowledge of the contract documents and will provide senior management with accurate project status updates and profit projections.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, including CPM updates and schedule analysis
  • Thoroughly review submittals and ensure compliance with contract requirements and documentation processes
  • Monitor invoice processing and maintain positive relationships with vendors and subcontractors
  • Approve subcontractor payment requisitions and lead project coordination meetings
  • Fully support the Quality Engineer and Safety Engineer and participate in project audits
  • Ensure shop drawing and As-Built drawing development proceeds in accordance with project schedules
  • Mentor the project team on contractual obligation requirements and evaluate construction methods
  • Assist with estimating bids, proposals, and change orders, and participate in technical discussions
  • Function as the team leader and provide guidance and support to the project team
  • Evaluate project data for anomalies or concerns and assess potential impacts and outcomes
  • Coordinate with legal and senior leadership to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and notification requirements
  • Support project execution in both a field office environment and active construction site conditions as required


Qualifications

  • Education: bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Experience: 10-14 years of experience
  • Advanced understanding of construction methodologies. Advanced knowledge of subcontractor trades work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of working with Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam. Working knowledge/understanding of P6, HCSS, and AutoCAD.
  • Communication: effective/clear communication in verbal/written
  • Team Leader/Player: Understands individual strengths and weaknesses and works with them to improve their skillsets.
  • Time Management: Self-disciplined to complete assigned tasks within required time frame. Ensure tasks for the day are completed before the shift ends. Confirm with team that assigned tasks were completed. Relay accurate information to upper management in a timely manner.
  • Open to carrying out various tasks in both field office capacity and outside at the project site.
