Technical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams through the successful execution of complex enterprise technology initiatives, including mainframe modernization and cloud transformation projects.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience managing enterprise-level projects involving Microsoft Azure, .NET technologies, DevOps practices, data integration, and application modernization. This individual will be responsible for delivering multiple projects on schedule and within budget while managing scope, stakeholder expectations, risks, dependencies, and overall project performance.

This role requires a strong combination of project management expertise and technical acumen, with the ability to understand architecture, integration, software development, and cloud transformation efforts across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead end-to-end planning and execution of complex technical projects, including cloud migration, application modernization, and mainframe transformation initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to maintain alignment on priorities and objectives.
  • Technical Oversight: Manage technical solution roadmaps involving Microsoft Azure, software development, system integrations, and DevOps CI/CD processes.
  • Agile Delivery: Apply Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to support sprint planning, backlog grooming, prioritization, and delivery milestones.
  • Risk Management: Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, constraints, and mitigation strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Partner with technical leads and quality assurance teams to monitor solution quality, project performance, and delivery outcomes.
  • Resource & Budget Management: Manage project resources, budgets, schedules, vendors, and competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain project charters, project plans, schedules, dashboards, Gantt charts, status reports, risk logs, and executive-level presentations.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to technical and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Delivery Governance: Ensure projects follow established standards, processes, documentation requirements, and delivery best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical project management for enterprise cloud-based initiatives, preferably involving Microsoft Azure.
  • 4+ years of experience managing application migration or modernization projects involving legacy or mainframe systems.
  • 6+ years of experience managing SDLC-based projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • 6+ years of experience working with or overseeing Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and related tools and workflows.
  • 6+ years of experience managing or coordinating technical projects involving .NET Core, C#, and SQL Server.
  • 6+ years of experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
  • 6+ years of experience with resource planning, project budgeting, and vendor coordination.
  • 6+ years of experience creating project plans, dashboards, Gantt charts, and executive status reports.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and reporting skills.
