The Opportunity:We are currently seeking an experienced
Land Development Project Manager to join our team in our
Jacksonville or Orlando, Florida offices.
In this role, you will manage and deliver complex land development projects from initial planning and design through permitting and construction. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key leadership role in supporting residential, commercial, and industrial development projects while mentoring staff and strengthening client relationships.
What You'll Do:As a Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, design, and execution of land development projects while providing technical leadership and project management oversight. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage multiple land development projects from preliminary planning and design through permitting and construction.
- Lead and mentor project teams including civil engineers, designers, AutoCAD technicians, and interns.
- Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert on land development design and permitting processes.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk while ensuring successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and subconsultants throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee quality control reviews of engineering plans and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Provide leadership in project planning, task assignments, and team coordination.
- Support project reporting, client communications, and internal project tracking.
- Mentor junior staff and support their professional growth and development.
What You'll Bring:- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
- Experience with land development design including residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, WaterCAD, ICPR, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working in collaborative environments using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Strong understanding of land development permitting and regulatory processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and motivate project teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and initiative.
