What you'll be doing

As a Project Manager IT within our Enterprise Payment Technology team, you'll play a crucial role in leading technology projects that enhance and support CIBC's payment solutions. In this role, you'll manage project goals, resource requirements, and costs, ensuring that all milestones are completed according to established timelines and budgets. You'll proactively identify risks and issues that could impact project delivery and collaborate with your team and management to develop solutions that keep projects on track. By executing personalized project plans and maintaining open communication, you'll help drive innovation in payment technology and deliver value to our clients and stakeholders. Your ability to build strong relationships with both your team and management will be key to ensuring informed decision-making and successful project outcomes.

Who you are

  • You have extensive project management experience. You have at least 3+ years of experience leading technology projects, ideally within financial services or payment technology. You are adept at managing project goals, resource requirements, and costs.
  • You're technically proficient. You are an expert with Office Productivity tools, including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and can communicate clearly with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • You're a relationship builder. You excel at building trust and rapport with stakeholders, management, and project teams, ensuring everyone is informed and engaged.
  • You're organized and proactive. You anticipate challenges, manage competing priorities, and consistently deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • You have relevant education and credentials. You hold a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business, or a related field. PMP certification and experience working in financial institutions are considered assets.
