Project Manager - Interoperability
- Location: Hybrid preferred in Canton, MA; remote candidates anywhere in the U.S. will also be considered

- Target Conversion Salary: Approximately $125,000 for onsite candidates (slightly lower for remote)
- Candidates must be willing to convert to a full-time CGI employee after 6 months.
Overview
CGI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead enterprise healthcare technology initiatives with a strong focus on healthcare payer interoperability. This individual will manage projects from planning through delivery, working closely with executive stakeholders, business teams, and technical teams to ensure successful implementation. The ideal candidate has extensive healthcare payer experience, strong leadership skills, and experience managing large cross-functional initiatives in both Agile and Waterfall environments. Requires Healthcare Payer experience with Interoperability, FHIR, and regulatory/compliance expertise.
Must Haves
- 10+ years of Project/Program Management experience
- Strong Healthcare Payer background
- Experience with Interoperability and FHIR capabilities
- Experience managing enterprise technology projects from initiation through delivery
- Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, risk management, resource management, and vendor management
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
- Proven ability to manage risks, escalations, and project delivery
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP Certification
- Agile Certification
- 3+ years of Process Management experience
- 3+ years of Health Insurance Operations experience (5+ years if not PMP certified)
- Experience with CQI, TQM, PDCA, PMBOK, or other formal process improvement methodologies
- Advanced degree
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through implementation and closure
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and vendors
- Lead Agile and/or Waterfall delivery teams across multiple workstreams
- Coordinate communication between business, technical, and executive stakeholders
- Develop executive steering committee materials and provide program status updates
- Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, and project escalations
- Mentor project managers and project coordinators
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive successful project execution
