About the role:
The Project Manager leads the development and implementation of company projects involving cross-functional teams while taking ownership of increasingly complex, cross-organizational initiatives with expanded scope, influence and business impact. This role is responsible for driving project execution, managing stakeholder alignment, and delivering results that support operational and strategic objectives.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office in Johns Creek, Georgia, at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Partner with functional and project managers to define project scope, strategy, timelines and budgets.
• Estimate project effort and resource requirements using established project management tools and methodologies.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules and budgets to ensure successful execution.
• Lead project execution by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans.
• Ensure project quality through adherence to Boston Scientific quality systems, processes and methodologies.
• Communicate project status, risks and key decisions to stakeholders and project team members.
• Monitor project deliverables and ensure successful completion of project objectives.
• Lead larger, more complex cross-functional and multi-site initiatives.
• Manage interdependencies across multiple workstreams, functions and stakeholder groups.
• Drive alignment across Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Engineering organizations.
• Solve complex and ambiguous business challenges with limited precedent.
• Influence stakeholders beyond the immediate project team and provide mentorship to less experienced team members.
• Identify, recommend and implement process improvements that impact multiple teams and functions.
• Support program-level execution and contribute to broader business and strategic objectives.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and present recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience leading projects.
• Experience working with both small and large cross-functional project teams.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and execute projects within established timelines.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma or Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10%, including international travel.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience implementing projects within a supply chain environment.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Strong communication, organizational and execution skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across project teams and stakeholder groups.
• Ability to lead courageously by addressing challenges directly and constructively.
• Positive and resilient mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management training.
