Full Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Burnaby, BC. In this role, you will lead the successful delivery of heavy civil infrastructure projects from pre-construction through closeout while building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review the contract, plans & specifications to determine scope of work and to define project requirements and milestones.
  • Lead a project team to safely meet project milestones, within budget and to specifications.
  • Manage all aspects of project performance, including but not limited to, startup, safety, cost, schedule, quality, environmental, client interface, operations, scope changes, billing, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain solid, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Work on project pursuits and lead proposal efforts, when required.
  • Mentor junior team members with the aim to develop their skills.
  • Manage claims and change orders.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 8+ years' minimum experience managing all aspects of heavy civil construction from project start to project closeout in Canada.
  • Onsite project management experience on a variety of large scale heavy civil infrastructure and transportation projects which involved highways, underground utilities, earthworks, and structures.
  • Ability to effectively manage new client development, client issues, complaints and inquiries while providing excellent service to clients.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Projects skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, where collaboration is the key to success.
  • Strong work ethic - ability to work in a confidential, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.


Compensation:

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical starting salary range of $132,000 to $162,000 per annum. Variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
