Qualifications

Full Job Description
The Opportunity: Project Manager, Generation Resource Planning

20 Month term, full-time and based in Whitehorse, Yukon.

What will you do: As the Project Manager, Generation Resource Planning, you will:

  • Lead the planning and development of long-term generation resources, primarily hydro and thermal generation, from pre-feasibility through preliminary design.
  • Develop electricity supply plans that identify the generation and transmission resources needed to support the Yukon's future.
  • Lead lifecycle analyses and business case development that inform investment in existing and new generation and transmission resources.
  • Help advance new generation projects that support growth and the transition to sustainable energy solutions across the Yukon.


What you need to succeed:
  • Degree in Engineering from an accredited university program and capable of obtaining either Engineer-in-training or Professional Engineer designation in Yukon Territory
  • Experience designing infrastructure from pre-feasibility to preliminary design and/or constructing infrastructure projects
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams to execute projects
  • Experience using financial analysis and quantitative and qualitative information to draw conclusions
  • Experience in utility energy planning would be an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered
