Full Job Description
Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager (FGP) - Manhattan.

In this role, the successful candidate will independently manage an assigned portfolio of projects, while assisting the Senior Director, Regional Practices in driving key operational initiatives. The FGP Project Manager will utilize key performance metrics and workflows in order to optimize productivity, patient access and service quality across regional FGP practices.

Job Responsibilities:
  • In partnership with FGP practice leadership and managers, will assess, design, and lead project initiatives and performance improvement projects (i.e. enhancing patient access, optimizing exam room utilization, implementing new technology solutions to improve efficiency) across FGP practices.
  • Responsible to independently manage FGP projects, including scoping out projects, identifying goals and objectives and creating project plans that support various initiatives.
  • Utilize key FGP data elements to help drive effective outcomes and optimal project deliverables.
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Determining project changes.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • Undertaking project tasks as required.
  • Developing project strategies.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
  • Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of three years of healthcare related experience, or a similar combination of education/training and experience.
  • At least two years of experience managing complex healthcare related projects including performance improvement, patient access and workflow optimization.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead and support a wide array of projects to successful completion.
  • Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Candidate must be a confident self-starter with excellent critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and Electronic Medical Records, preferably Epic.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $70,481.61 - $95,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
