PROJECT MANAGERPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Project Manager serves as a leader of a construction project, responsible for the oversight of all construction efforts at a large project site. Working under limited supervision and general direction, this individual independently applies advanced techniques to complex assignments, demonstrating the knowledge and skill of a fully competent and experienced professional. Through effective coordination and sound decision-making, the Project Manager ensures that all construction activities are carried out efficiently and in alignment with project goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provide oversight of construction-related activities for contracts.
- Support COR by performing all project management tasks.
- Provide the day-to-day project management for construction and service projects.
- Tasks include coordination with customers, schedule review, and design review.
- Develop solutions to construction problems or existing conditions encountered in the field.
- Review contractor submittals for contract conformance.
- Aid the contracting officer or COR throughout the acquisition phases of the project to include answering offerors questions; attending/participating in site orientation visits; attending/participating in joint contractor/government meetings.
- Draft technical responses to any change orders.
- Prepare statement of work and cost estimate for new contracts and contract modifications.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Must be a U.S Citizen
- Has underdone a minimum of a Tier 1 Public Trust 1 background investigation or higher within the last 5 years
- Will be required to undergo a DHS Suitability assessment
- Four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years' project management work experience on commercial or Government construction projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Prefer PMP or other project management certification
