  • Manage change order processes rigorously - evaluate, negotiate, and approve or reject contractor requests with full documentation.
  • Ensure owner-furnished equipment is procured, delivered, and accepted on schedule to avoid contractor delay claims.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
  • Hold regular progress meetings; monitor, measure, and report GC performance against baseline schedule and budget.

  • Drive quality assurance and quality control throughout construction; ensure work meets design specifications and corporate standards.
  • Identify design and construction elements likely to generate disputes; intervene early to protect project outcomes.
Financial Management
  • Own project cost management: track actuals vs. budget, manage cash flow forecasts, and review and approve contractor invoices.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to recover cost or schedule slippage in collaboration with Senior Project Management.
  • Ensure all site staff fully understand project costs, funding requirements, and financial implications of scope changes.

  • Strong command of project controls: scheduling (MS Project or Primavera P6), cost tracking, change management, and risk registers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and hold accountable large general contractors and multi-trade subcontractor teams.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex construction issues for senior leadership, lenders, and JV partners.
Skills:
  • Familiarity with BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) co-located projects preferred.
