Full Job Description
Position Summary:

For this role we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CPG Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of various gate-based projects within our Consumer-Packaged Goods division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of the CPG industry, and experience managing projects through a structured gate-based process to achieve strategic objectives and deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. The Project Manager will work cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Sales and Finance to guarantee projects are completed on time and within budget on new product launches and key initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets, using a gate-based project management approach.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, supply chain, and sales, to ensure project alignment and execution through each gate phase.
  • Monitor and report on project progress at each gate, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that arise.
  • Implement and oversee the gate-based project management framework, ensuring that projects progress through each gate (e.g., Concept, Development, Testing, Launch) with the required deliverables and approvals.
  • Facilitate gate reviews and meetings, ensuring all necessary stakeholders are present and all criteria are met before moving to the next gate.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations and company policies at each gate.
  • Implement and oversee testing procedures and quality assurance measures to address any issues before proceeding to the next gate.
  • Prepare and present project status reports for gate reviews, including key metrics, milestones, and achievements.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including gate reviews, plans, schedules, and meeting notes.
  • Utilize AI-powered productivity and project management tools to improve project planning, documentation, meeting summaries, risk identification, and cross-functional communication.
  • Evaluate and recommend workflow automation opportunities that improve project visibility, reporting accuracy, and execution efficiency.
  • Leverage emerging AI technologies to streamline administrative project management tasks and accelerate decision-making.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5 +years of experience in project management
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft - Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and MS Project
  • Experience managing product development, commercialization, innovation, manufacturing, or supply chain projects within the food, beverage, nutraceutical, dietary supplement, functional ingredient, wellness, personal care, or other regulated CPG industries strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within stage-gate product development and commercialization processes.
  • Familiarity with FDA-regulated products, labeling requirements, ingredient specifications, quality systems, and manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience utilizing AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Claude, or similar platforms) to improve project management efficiency, communication, documentation, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and adopt new technologies that improve team productivity and project execution.
  • Comfortable working in technology-enabled environments and leveraging automation to reduce manual administrative work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Marketing, and Sales preferred.
