Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited ABET school
• 5+ years of construction material testing and inspection experience
• North Carolina P.E. License required or ability to obtain
• Experience in business development and project proposal creation
• Prior personnel management and training experience
• P&L responsibilities management required
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct field engineering duties including data analysis and fieldwork for various project types
• Assist with project management and reporting tasks
• Perform field inspection, sampling, and testing of construction materials
• Prepare and review project reports
• Consult and maintain relationships with clients
• Assist in company-wide objectives by collaborating with peers
• Prepare project proposals and follow-up on them
• Manage project billing, budget, and closeout processes
• Document any changes in project scope and prepare change orders
• Schedule and oversee field testing and inspections, keeping clients informed
• Train field staff in testing and inspection techniques as per ASTM and ACI standards
• Support other project managers and department manager with a variety of tasks
• Dispatch technicians to relevant projects
