About the role

The purpose of the project manager is to support industrial construction projects and teams across the Gulf Coast region, ensuring the achievement of established client and internal strategic business objectives. Key project delivery focus areas include safety stewardship, scope, budget, and schedule to client sites. Candidates will be visiting client sites in Baytown, Beaumont, Mont Belview, and Friendswood and must be within driving distance of Houston, TX or any of these locations to be considered.

What you'll do

  • Manage third party design efforts.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to lead all aspects of the progress of construction and monitor the status of work completed during the period covered by the client safety program.
  • Lead all facets of project and program management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for multi-asset facility projects.
  • Will work on large volume HVAC asset assessment/replacements, roofing replacements, and roadway assessments, along with mechanical and concrete. These projects are within industrial sites that include planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Will demonstrate the ability to manage budgets, scheduling, cost, and estimates.
  • Support construction and renovation projects and ensure detailed staff understands and implements safety requirements, operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Support regional project reports, steward account-specific Key Performance Indicators, and promote overall program improvements. Performs training and ongoing mentoring for junior-level staff.
  • Build close relationships with clients to ensure projects are being delivered against established expectations and to explore/implement opportunities for program improvements.
  • Reading, understanding, and applying standards to moderately elaborate documents that may include agreements, contracts, leases, project charters, work letters, drawings, and surveys.
  • Prepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & achievements, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Identify project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification processes; conduct standard requests for proposals; complete bid analysis; recommend resources to clients.
  • Implement communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources briefed.


What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) or five years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience but 5 years is preferred in a project management role for real estate industrial construction projects.
  • Experience with industrial real estate projects including MEP, and HVAC with strong safety programs preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
