Full Job Description
Elford is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Commercial Construction to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, client relationships, and overall project execution while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with Superintendents, Project Engineers, owners, engineers, and trade partners, you'll play a key role in delivering successful commercial construction projects while building lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and overall project financial performance.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure safe and successful project execution.
  • Partner with Superintendents to drive field operations, manpower planning, and project schedules.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Manage contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve project risks while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety goals.
  • Lead project closeout, including punch lists, owner turnover, and final documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent construction experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Proven success managing projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and project financial management.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing office, retail, mixed-use, hospitality, tenant improvement, or other commercial construction projects.
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Experience leading multiple projects and mentoring Project Engineers or Assistant Project Managers.
