About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead customer-facing projects that deliver end to end lab automation solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. In this role, you will guide customers through complex transformation projects that combine hardware systems, instrument integration, and bespoke software development to automate critical laboratory workflows.
You will lead the project from kickoff to customer acceptance ensuring delivery quality, strong stakeholder engagement, and a smooth implementation experience for some of the world's most innovative pharma organizations.
What You'll Do
• Lead customer implementation projects that include automation hardware, system integration, and custom software development.
• Working closely with the customer to build trust, manage expectations, and ensure value delivery.
• Drive cross-functional teams of engineers, automation specialists and software developers.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate system testing, installation, and validation activities.
• Identify project risks and proactively drive mitigation actions.
• Manage change requests, scope adjustments, and project governance.
• Ensure a smooth and successful handover to the support organization
What You Bring
• Proven experience managing technical or engineering projects, ideally in pharma, biotech, lab automation, life sciences, or other regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of both hardware and software project delivery.
• Experience with agile, hybrid, or waterfall project methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong problem solving and risk management capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-complexity customer environments.
• Experience with GxP, validation, or regulated industries is a plus.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Global PMO team based in Europe to align project priorities, share best practices, and ensure successful execution of customer implementation projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or equivalent) required.
- 5+ years of technical project management experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or biological sciences - is a plus
Compensation and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $104,000-$130,000. Benefits include 401K with company match, PTO, Health Benefits, Investment in Professional and Personal Development, and much more.
