Role description:
On-call position
• Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management experience with concurrent field construction experience.
• Educational Background: Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Project Mastery: Proven ability to independently manage all aspects of a project, including the oversight of multiple projects in various phases simultaneously.
Role accountabilities:
Technical Proficiency
• Construction Oversight: Skilled in reviewing and coordinating construction documents, including contracts with architects, general contractors, and low-voltage/furniture vendors.
• Document Review: Ability to read architectural plans and review specifications for accuracy, code compliance, and regulatory conformity.
• Physical Assessment: Capable of evaluating the physical condition of building envelopes, interior finishes, and core MEP systems to identify maintenance or renovation needs.
• Software: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Project & Financial Management
• Controls: Ability to develop and control project scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Financial Oversight: Expertise in reviewing reconciliation documents timely for accuracy and ensuring the approval of authorized payments only.
• Field Coordination: Experience monitoring and coordinating construction activities with diverse project stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Financial Administration: Skilled in negotiating and preparing change orders.
• Responsible/Responsive Bidders: Ability to vet contractors not just on price, but on their legal and financial ability to perform the work.
Communication & Leadership
• Leadership: Strong leadership presence with the ability to facilitate project team and client meetings effectively.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to decision-makers.
• Problem Solving: Ability to adapt to project challenges, recognize critical issues, and elevate them to leadership when appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Professional Certifications: Relevant industry certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or LEED AP.
• Regulatory Knowledge: * Strong familiarity with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards.
• Practical experience with the County of Los Angeles Building Code and standards.
• Knowledge of Public Contract Code and CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) requirements.
• Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial office furniture systems and major industry manufacturers.
• Audit & Transparency: Proven ability to maintain a meticulous project "paper trail" suitable for internal audits and public records standards.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $129,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location. #LI-KR1
