Full Job Description
The Aerospace Transparencies Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing and closing technical engineering projects related to the continuous improvement of aerospace transparencies for fixed wing aircraft and rotorcraft applications (military and commercial). This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, coordinating with suppliers and customers, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, and driving program schedules, budgets, and quality objectives to successful completion for a portfolio of programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of aerospace transparency projects across various programs from concept through production and sustainment, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company goals. Empowered to be strategic and tactical.
  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams, customers, and suppliers regarding project status, milestones, and changes.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborates and drives engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, R&D and procurement teams to ensure seamless program execution. Responsible for constructing integrated project teams as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support process improvement initiatives to enhance project management practices, development and/or manufacturing efficiency.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure all aerospace transparencies comply with relevant customer requirements, industry standards (e.g., FAA, EASA, MIL-STD) and internal quality requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular program status reports, including financial performance, schedule adherence, and risk assessments to senior management.


Qualifications
  • Only US Citizens, Green card holders, political asylees, or refugees are eligible to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree (engineering disciplines preferred)
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Proficient in project management tools and software
  • Strong knowledge of Aerospace transparency materials (e.g., acrylics, polycarbonates, glass), manufacturing processes, and testing methods.
