Job Summary
The Project Manager will lead strategic and tactical technology and process transformation initiatives within the hedge fund environment, with a strong focus on Advent Geneva Portfolio Accounting. The role will manage cross-functional projects spanning front office, middle office, and back office operations, ensuring seamless system integration, reliable data flow, and accurate portfolio accounting and NAV reporting. The position will serve as a key liaison between investment, operations, finance, technology, vendor, and data teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic and tactical technology initiatives related to portfolio accounting, data integration, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with investment, operations, and finance teams to define business requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
• Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables using appropriate Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, issues, blockers, and dependencies.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and key decisions to senior stakeholders through regular steering committee updates.
• Coordinate with technology, vendor, and data teams to ensure high-quality and timely project delivery.
• Lead Geneva-related initiatives, including upgrades, new fund setups, configuration changes, and data integrations.
• Define and manage data interfaces between Geneva and other systems, including Order Management Systems, Portfolio Management Systems, Risk Systems, and Data Warehouse or Reporting platforms.
• Support OMS integrations for trade capture and allocations.
• Support PMS integrations for exposure and performance data.
• Coordinate integrations with risk systems supporting sensitivities, VaR, and stress testing.
• Support downstream data warehouse, reporting, and dashboard integrations.
• Document and optimize end-to-end data flows from trade capture through NAV production.
• Ensure data integrity and support reconciliation across integrated systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Project Manager within hedge fund or investment management environments.
• Strong experience with Advent Geneva Portfolio Accounting.
• Strong understanding of hedge fund front office, middle office, and back office processes.
• Experience managing technology and process transformation initiatives.
• Experience with portfolio accounting, data integration, and NAV reporting processes.
• Experience managing system integrations and data flows across investment management platforms.
• Strong understanding of OMS, PMS, risk management, and data warehouse/reporting systems.
• Experience managing project scope, budgets, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
• Experience working with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity and reconciliation.
