Position Overview

The Project Manager 2 will lead and coordinate a portfolio of strategic projects within the Power Delivery Data Analytics organization. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

The successful candidate will serve as a central point of coordination between business stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, vendors, and external partners to drive successful project execution and organizational alignment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing multiple concurrent projects while balancing competing priorities in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Project Management
  • Manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously across the Data Analytics organization.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Track project performance against scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and potential roadblocks.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address project challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with established governance, reporting, and change management processes.
  • Support project prioritization efforts and alignment with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Monitor project health and proactively address issues impacting delivery.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, and external partners.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, planning sessions, and status reviews.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, document decisions, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on project progress, milestones, risks, and key decisions.
  • Communicate project status and expectations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Foster collaboration and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional teams.
Vendor & Partner Coordination
  • Coordinate activities with vendors, consultants, and third-party partners.
  • Monitor vendor deliverables, commitments, timelines, and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and escalation management when necessary.
  • Ensure external partners remain aligned with project objectives and business priorities.
  • Support contract-related activities and vendor engagement processes as needed.
Budget & Resource Management
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Assist with resource planning and allocation across multiple initiatives.
  • Identify resource gaps, conflicts, and staffing requirements.
  • Support leadership with project planning, investment decisions, and resource forecasting.
  • Track project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Process Improvement & Organizational Effectiveness
  • Promote project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project templates, reporting standards, and governance documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project execution, communication, and collaboration processes.
  • Support organizational change management initiatives and adoption of new tools, technologies, and business processes.
  • Contribute to the maturation of project management practices across the organization.


Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience leading technology, analytics, software, business transformation, or related initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects and stakeholder groups.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience developing project plans, schedules, roadmaps, executive reports, and status updates.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities.


Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as:
    • Microsoft Project
    • Smartsheet
    • Jira
    • Azure DevOps
    • Monday.com
    • Similar project and portfolio management platforms
  • Experience creating project schedules, dashboards, roadmaps, and executive reporting materials.

  • Familiarity with project governance, change management, and resource planning methodologies.


Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.

  • Experience supporting Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Platform, or Technology initiatives.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, consultants, and external partners.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working within large enterprise organizations.
