Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Project Management Director serves clients of all industries, asset types and levels of maturity as they access markets, develop new products, improve operational performance and implement unique growth strategies on a global basis. This position manages a team of Project Managers that work on behalf of our clients around the world. Newmark is seeking talented individuals who can work collaboratively with our service line leaders, subject matter experts and Newmark's extensive brokerage network to develop industry leading analytical and problem-solving frameworks that address the strategic, operational and business process needs of our client base. A significant expectation will focus on how the skillsets above help establish implementation plans that successfully position local, regional, national and global real estate solutions.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:
  • Manage a team of project managers.
  • Prepare budgets, schedules, and revenue projections.
  • Work with in-house proprietary technology and analytical toolkits.
  • Provide support for general projects and client account management.
  • Assist with client report writing and presentations.
  • Support all business development efforts to the Executive's, Specialty Practice Leaders and Market Leaders.
  • Drive business development efforts across the different lines within Newmark.
  • Support the local real estate brokers in pursuit of new business.
  • Research opportunities to increase our client list including analyzing ways to become appraisers of record.
  • Support all major client presentations.
  • Provide sales support for key pursuits and business development activities.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a business, corporate/management, or commercial construction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proficiency with technology and client service tools; PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Word and VISIO/CAD CAM related project management and process mapping packages


Working Conditions: Normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements

Salary: $155000 - $167000 annually

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $155000 to $167000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).

Newmark designs, builds and sells single-family homes in five major markets within the Southwest and Southeast United States, including Houston, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale and, most recently, Nashville. Each of these markets has experienced population and job growth above the national average over the past several years. The Company operated in 49 subdivisions in these metropolitan areas, and had 444 homes under construction at December 31,1997. In addition, as of December 31, 1997, the Company owned or had under option contract 2,020 lots available for future growth. The Company is also actively engaged in residential land acquisition and development, which enables it to provide lots for its homebuilding operations.
