What You Can Expect

The Associate Director, Project Management will lead programs supporting the commercialization and continued development of the company's orthopedic robotic platform. A key near term responsibility will be leading program execution and organizational readiness for the commercial launch of the company's first clinical application.

This role will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, leadership, surgeons, and other stakeholders. The Associate Director will also manage and support Project Managers responsible for product development programs and strategic initiatives.

How You'll Create Impact

Lead project management activities supporting the commercial launch of the company's first clinical application.
Oversee the New Product Introduction process, including stage gates, project schedules, critical paths, milestones, and key deliverables.
Develop and maintain integrated project plans across Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and other functions.
Coordinate critical activities required to support timely regulatory clearance, operational readiness, and commercial launch.
Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and issues that could impact project timelines.
Lead project reviews, establish clear ownership of deliverables, and ensure issues and decisions are addressed in a timely manner.
Manage project changes and ensure key decisions and their impact on project plans are documented and communicated.
Prepare project status communications for leadership, including Gantt charts, key milestones, critical risks, decisions, and schedule changes.
Manage, mentor, and develop Project Managers responsible for product development programs and strategic initiatives.
Provide oversight and support to Project Managers on project planning, coordination, risk management, issue resolution, and communication with leadership.
Review priorities and project health across programs and help resolve resource conflicts and dependencies between projects.
Establish consistent project management processes and reporting practices across the organization.
Support post acquisition integration and other organizational initiatives as needed.

What Makes You Stand Out

Experience in the medical device industry or another regulated product development environment.

Strong understanding of product development, design controls, regulatory requirements, and commercialization.
Demonstrated experience leading complex product development programs from development through launch.
Experience managing and developing Project Managers, engineers, or other technical professionals.
Strong project planning, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, commercial teams, clinical stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Experience in surgical robotics, orthopedic medical devices, capital equipment, navigation, or related technologies preferred.

Your Background

  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience
  • Highly Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, product engineering, product development, or related roles.
