What You Will Do:

The Team Leader or Project Leader is responsible for supervision of individual contributors, project management, execution and smooth operations of the team/project.
  • Use 2D and 3D CAD software to model assemblies and individual parts and generate engineering drawings and bills of material.
  • Understand customer specifications, project requirements, guaranteed technical particulars, prepare design review documents, technical reports, and justifications for the customers.
  • Assist in the resolution/remediation of product issues and participate in root cause analysis.
  • Design of the latest combustion hardware contributing to the decarbonization goals of Siemens Energy
  • Development of the latest combustion system utilizing the latest manufacturing techniques both conventional and additive.
  • Communicate and work effectively with manufacturing and service engineering colleagues on process improvements and new product development and introduction
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers demonstrating product knowledge
  • Work closely with product line managers and engineering to determine technical scope of work
  • Provide customer correspondence such as schedule updates, quality issues, clarification of scopes of work and any/all information impacting customer deliveries.
  • Create/provide reports on customer centered metrics to upper management.
  • Create work instructions and SOPs of process and standards specific to plant
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Manage employee workload and trainings
  • Conduct daily touch points with each employee in your team and conduct regular team meetings to flow down company and immediate organizational communications
  • Manage Time & Material and Tasked based projects of low complexity for work packages from our customers.
  • Project management will include on-time delivery, proposal preparations, risk assessments, timesheet approvals, and financial management
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis and encourage and monitor Productivity and Continuous Improvements as required for the customer work package
  • Manage Customer point of contact by assisting with scope and work package definitions, report weekly status, conduct quality and progress reviews, solicit regular Customer Satisfaction Feedback
  • Work with your Center's Technical Leadership and Subject Matter Experts to ensure projects are executed with high technical quality and technical career development is provided to your team members
  • Create a team environment where your employees are encouraged to grow professionally and challenge themselves
  • Support Hiring by conducting interviews as required and providing Hiring Manager with candidate feedback


What You Will Bring:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in Machine design
  • Mechanical design/analysis experience with components for turbo-machinery applications or similar applications.
  • Ability to create complex drawings and specifications, including a solid understanding of GD&T
  • Experience in design of mechanical components more than 5years.
  • Good presentation and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Siemens NX CAD, ANSYS, Teamcenter & SAP
  • Good communication skills and cross functional collaboration
  • Min. 3yrs experience leading teams and working with cross cultural teams
  • Go getter attitude with hunger and humility


Pay Range: ($80K to $90k).

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements:

This role is considered an on-site position located in Charlotte, NC
  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Citizenship Requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship and Permanent Resident is required.
