What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with a crossfunctional team of experts, including Project, Design, Structures, Aero, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Industrial Engineering
  • Partner closely with the Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) organization to ensure seamless integration between engineering and manufacturing, driving efficiency and innovation in production processes
  • Resolve manufacturing challenges and address producibility issues with part producers and suppliers to ensure ontime delivery of spare parts and hardware that supports fleet sustainment and schedule requirements
  • Plan, acquire, and manage budgets for Integrated Product Team (IPT) tasks, applying core Project Engineering skills such as task planning, tracking, and earned value management (EVMS)
  • Communicate with internal and external customers, providing clear, timely updates on task status and technical content to the IPT and Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT)
  • Interface directly with engineering management, program management, suppliers, and customers to drive execution and achieve program objectives
  • Gain exposure to project management frameworks, including Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall
  • Travel up to 10% to supplier locations supporting F119 spares production
  • This position requires regular walking and standing while working on the manufacturing floor, with the ability to move through production areas safely

Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)

Compression Systems Engineering is responsible for the design, development, and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.

Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition.

This position is classified as:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attendselect steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
