About the PositionThe Project Engineer will support the successful execution of multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role will provide technical, administrative, scheduling, cost-control, procurement, and project coordination support while working closely with Project Managers, field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and owners.
The ideal candidate will have
2-5 years of commercial or multifamily construction experience and a strong foundation in construction documentation, project controls, scheduling, and financial management.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Project Managers with planning and execution of multifamily construction projects
- Assist with schedules, budgets, procurement, documentation, and project coordination
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and other construction documents
- Coordinate RFIs, drawing updates, inspections, punch lists, and closeout activities
- Assist with CPM scheduling and Primavera P6
- Track project progress, milestones, costs, commitments, and financial performance
- Review invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor costs, and change orders
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, and equipment
- Participate in jobsite meetings, inspections, and project walks
- Track deficiencies and corrective actions
- Identify potential schedule, cost, quality, and procurement issues
- Maintain accurate and organized project records
- Coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders to keep work moving efficiently
Requirements- 2-5 years of commercial or multifamily construction experience
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project documentation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with construction submittals and RFIs
- Working knowledge of CPM scheduling and Primavera P6
- Understanding of construction accounting, cost tracking, and project financials
- Ability to effectively coordinate multiple project stakeholders
