Overview

Join ENERCON as a Project Engineer supporting mechanical projects for our Nuclear Services Group. Your role will involve developing winning engineering proposals with technical staff, executing projects within budget and schedule constraints, and maintaining robust client relationships. With your proven management skills, you'll oversee project schedules, financials, and reporting while actively supporting marketing endeavors to propel business growth.   • Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta)
  • Overland Park, KS

  • Remote will be considered for candidates that are senior and above

Responsibilities

A typical day in this role will include leading strategic project discussions, aligning your team to ensure quality and deadlines are met, while keeping clients informed and engaged. You'll dive into problem-solving, manage budgets, refine proposals, and identify new opportunities - all while motivating your team to turn every challenge into a win.

  • Leadership & Coordination: Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design engineering projects and serve as a technical leader to ensure the project solution and quality goals are met. Manage client interactions and negotiate/control project scope to client and company's satisfaction. Foster and maintain working relations with assigned clients and act as a single point of contact for assigned projects
  • Project Management Excellence: Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to established schedule and within budget. Understand project schedules, project management plans, and manage project staff to ensure project requirements are met. Formulate/develop detailed project reports. Understand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performance
  • Strategic Growth & Innovation: Work with technical staff to develop winning, highly technical engineering proposals. Aggressively support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation, and follow-up #LI-SH7

Qualifications

  • Design Engineering experience with the modification and implementation process, calculations, specifications, etc. in power facilities
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in the nuclear, power, or industrial industries as an Engineer or Project Manager
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering (or related) OR PMP Certification and 10 years' applicable experience
  • PE license strongly preferred
  • Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes
  • Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
  • Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites
  • Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks

Compensation Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.
