Full Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of the Project Engineer are organized around three main areas:

Estimating, Bidding, and Technical Coordination

  • Collaborate on project estimating and bidding;
  • Support the estimating team and determine thebest strategies to respond to qualifications/bids;
  • Ensure the quality of submissions according toclient requirements and company quality standards;
  • Participate in the development of proposedconstruction methods and procedures;
  • Contribute to the development of preliminaryschedules;
  • Participate in meetings with clients, engineers,and stakeholders;
  • Analyze tender documents and identify technicalissues;
  • Prepare and follow up on requests for information(RFIs) with the client.


Execution

  • Plan and ensure proper coordination of work withall stakeholders;
  • Participate in updating project schedules;
  • Define and optimize construction methods andprocedures;
  • Review and track shop drawings and contractualdocuments;
  • Manage and follow up on technical questions andcontract changes;
  • Communicate with the client regardingclarifications and changes;
  • Participate in project meetings with clients andpartners;
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements,including health and safety;
  • Obtain and monitor required permits andauthorizations.


Support

  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards;
  • Integrate corporate requirements (HSE, quality,contractual compliance);
  • Contribute to best practices in estimating andexecution;
  • Support the continuous improvement of methods andprocesses;
  • Collaboratewith internal teams;
  • Ensure effective transfer of information betweenproject phases.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering orConstruction Management or equivalent;
  • 7 years of experience in construction, both inthe field and in bidding;
  • Experience on large-scale projects such ashydroelectric, infrastructure, or other relevant expertise aligned withour project portfolio;
  • Experiencein bid preparation;
  • Ability to work on-site;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word,Excel, Access);
  • Strong knowledge of project management software;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project and AutoCAD isan asset.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $60,000 - $105,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC's comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
