Full Job Description
The role:

We are looking for a motivated and talented EGSE project engineer to join our team at our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. The candidate will be involved in the development of test equipment, and will support the testing of satellite electronics units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be part of an engineering team specializing in test equipment, otherwise known as Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE);
  • Contribute to the organization of the technical work of multidisciplinary engineering teams designing test equipment in the context of a satellite constellation project.
  • Act as an interface with the various levels of management (AI&T manager and department managers) to obtain the material and human resources needed to complete the project.
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the execution of EGSE activities related to development, qualification and flight production models.
  • Carry out risk analyses and technical trade-offs for EGSE projects.
  • Participate in and organize technical reviews of EGSE deliverables and ensure implementation of corrective actions where applicable.
  • Communicate and implement program vision and planning to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance of EGSEs with MDA standard practices and quality rules (performance, safety and certification if applicable).
  • Interpret customer needs and requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an electronics-related field;
  • Practical experience in electronics test station design and manufacturing in one of the following fields: digital, analog, power or RF electronics.
  • Ability to organize work within a collaborative team, strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in leading a design team.

Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
