What will you be doing!
  • Leading the delivery of large-scale, high-risk, multi-year decommissioning projects critical to CRL's success.
  • Managing all aspects of project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation across complex project portfolios.
  • Building, leading, and sustaining large multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Establishing project scope, priorities, and responsibilities while managing risks and regulatory commitments.
  • Reviewing and approving work breakdown structures, schedules, cost estimates, and project changes.
  • Authorizing project expenditures, procurement activities, and financial commitments.
  • Driving long-term strategic planning and facility sequencing aligned with operational needs.
  • Monitoring and reporting project performance to senior leadership, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Motivating, coaching, and mentoring team members to deliver quality results on time and on budget.
  • Defining roles, managing performance, and providing leadership, including feedback, development, and disciplinary actions where required.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety requirements, site licensing, quality programs, and regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, government officials, and partners.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:
  • Education
    • Degree in project management, engineering, applied/building sciences, business, commerce, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
    • PMP certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible project experience in a senior or lead project capacity.
    • Demonstrated experience delivering large, high-risk, complex projects with significant financial scope.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Extensive knowledge of all project management areas including scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, procurement, and integration.
    • Experience across all project lifecycle phases including planning, design, execution, and closeout.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills with experience leading large teams (100+ resources).
    • Excellent strategic thinking, planning, budgeting, and organizational capabilities.
    • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills at senior levels.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, complex stakeholder environments, and regulatory requirements.
    • Knowledge of decommissioning processes, licensing requirements, and environmental remediation practices.
    • High level of judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving in complex, high-pressure environments.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
    • Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."

Working Conditions:
  • Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
