Overview

The Project Development Specialist will seek out new and current high growth potential accounts within the Performance Parts customer base that are currently underserved. This position will initiate stronger relationships with identified accounts in both the US and Canada through strategic engagement in order to maximize parts spend to a "best customer" level. In addition, the Project Development Specialist will seek out new opportunities to expand the product and service offerings provided by Performance Parts.

Responsibilities

  • Generates viable sales leads and prospects through market and account research, networking, sales and vendor events.
  • Develops, executes and communicates business plans for profitably growing sales of assigned client categories. Provides market and competitor information to appropriate channel within the company. Accountable for attaining assigned sales quota, part margin and controllable expense objectives.
  • Establish business relationships with end users and OEMs - with or without channel partners - projects managers and installation subcontractors to understand their needs and to boost the demand for Hussmann Aftermarket Solutions.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping up with the supply and demands of the market, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
  • Determine the annual sales and budget plan by implementing sales strategies, analyzing trends and results in cooperation with the client development manager.
  • Performs parts surveys of refrigeration equipment scope of work, project budget and validates preliminary information with customers.
  • Qualify, prioritize, and develop opportunities for client growth to 'best customer" status
  • Effectively manage client interactions and clearly communicate customer requirements to internal development teams in support of customer critical and direct communications.
  • Procure and communicate project leads to our Sales Operation Team.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Must be able to handle multiple accounts, programs/projects/tasks at any given time and be able to effectively prioritize as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong internal team relationships.
  • Manage issue resolution.
  • Proactively identify issues, engage appropriate departments/staff to conduct investigations, determine root cause and resolution.
  • Be the voice of customer (VOC) and hold the Performance Parts Team accountable to provide the best-in-class products and service.
  • Assist in the mentorship of other team members through implementation and development of best practices.
  • Identify opportunities within our client base to provide parts for expanded HVAC/R support.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop best practices for parts identification, procurement and application of expanded HVAC/R parts options.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years applicable experience (Sales, Marketing, Business, Finance or HVAC/R field preferred)
  • In lieu of degree 12+ years of progressive sales and or account management experience will be required
  • Experience working with senior level procurement and purchasing managers
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft CRM and Oracle
  • Meet growth goals for target customer group

Preferred Skills
  • General refrigeration knowledge and or familiarity with Hussmann products and services.

The salary or hourly range of $ 80,231-$133,718 is just one component of Hussmann's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
