Job DescriptionOverviewAtkinsRéalis has an exciting full time career opportunity for a Project Coordinator based out of our Vancouver offices. Our Project Coordinators are responsible for supporting the timely and efficient delivery of transmission and substation projects for major utility clients.
This position reports to the Project Manager. You will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and working alongside technical leads, construction managers, project schedulers and cost controllers.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who embraces the opportunity to work on a variety of projects concurrently and have a background in Utilities, Construction or Engineering. Projects vary in size and complexity, resulting in the necessity to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously. It is an expectation that the Project Coordinator will support the project team with activities including, but not limited to, estimating, scheduling, quality assurance, engineering, procurement support, construction management support and safety.
Your role- Assist in the successful delivery of the project to agreed targets, e.g., schedule, budget, and quality.
- Assist the Project Manager in actively managing the project – both technically and financially, in accordance with corporate and business policies, directives, guidance and procedures.
- Supporting communication, coordination, and information flow with the Client and within the project team, including any subcontractors and partners (internal and external).
- Supporting compilation of all technical documentation required for the execution of the project (technical studies, design basis, conceptual designs, detailed designs, technical specifications, field work, tender phase services, construction phase services and record drawings).
About you- A degree in either civil, electrical engineering or construction management.
- A minimum of 2 - 5 years of related experience within engineering or project coordination/project management.
- Experience in the following is considered a distinct asset; Transmission and Distribution, working with a major utility, working in an EPCM environment.
- Understanding engineering principles, practices and the flow of design in project management.
- Understanding of project financial workings.
- Knowledge of all project management fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient with standard computer tools.

Additional informationExpected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $80,000 - $100,000annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
