Responsibilities

The Project Controls Manager, Data Centers is responsible for the end-to-end management of equipment-related data within Procore across large-scale, complex data center construction projects. This role ensures accurate tracking, coordination, and visibility of large amounts of high-value, long-lead equipment from procurement through commissioning and close-out. This position serves as the central hub for equipment data integrity, cross-functional coordination, and schedule alignment across procurement, logistics, construction, and commissioning teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited:
  • Own and manage all equipment-related data within Procore across assigned projects
  • Maintain accurate records for procurement status, contracts, manufacturing progress, delivery, installation, and commissioning
  • Track and manage large volumes of equipment across multiple concurrent projects
  • Ensure all equipment is properly tagged, categorized, and traceable throughout its lifecycle
  • Coordinate across:
    • Procurement teams
    • Vendors / manufacturers
    • Logistics and delivery teams
    • Field teams (installation / placement)
    • Start-up and commissioning teams
  • Ensure timely updates to equipment status including:
    • Purchase orders and contract execution
    • Manufacturing milestones
    • Shipping and logistics tracking
    • On-site delivery and inventory
    • Placement on pads / installation readiness
    • Commissioning and turnover status

Procore-Specific Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain equipment tracking workflows within Procore
  • Ensure all relevant modules are aligned (Submittals, RFIs, Commitments, Schedule, etc.)
  • Maintain data consistency between Procore and external sources (vendor reports, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Validate that schedule data reflects real-time equipment status and constraints
  • Build and maintain:
    • Equipment logs / trackers
    • Status dashboards and reporting views
    • Data structures for large-scale asset tracking
  • Identify and resolve data gaps, inconsistencies, and reporting issues
  • Support reporting needs for project leadership and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Experience on data center construction projects is required
  • Experience working in Procore is required
  • Strong understanding of construction project workflows, particularly in mission-critical environments
  • Experience with procurement tracking, logistics coordination, or project controls highly preferred
  • Highly detail-oriented with ability to manage large datasets
  • Strong organizational and systems-thinking mindset
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel / data management skills preferred
  • Ability to identify process gaps and implement scalable solutions

Working Conditions

  • This role may be 100% remote, with the option to work from our Dallas office.
