Position Overview

The Project Controls Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, and reporting functions for complex electrical construction projects. This role partners closely with project managers, field operations, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to provide accurate project performance data and ensure successful project execution. The Project Controls Coordinator helps identify risks, track key performance indicators, and drive proactive decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules to track progress, identify risks, and support successful project execution.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, labor productivity, and forecasts to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Prepare and deliver project performance reports, dashboards, cash flow projections, and executive summaries.Support earned value management, cost trending, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Identify schedule, cost, and execution risks and collaborate with project teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project changes by tracking scope modifications, budget impacts, and schedule adjustments.
  • Partner with project managers, field operations, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to provide accurate project controls data and recommendations.
  • Support project planning, resource forecasting, manpower planning, and overall project performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in project review meetings and assist leadership with data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure project controls processes, reporting standards, and documentation are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, scheduling, or project management within the construction industry.
  • Experience supporting electrical construction, industrial, power, utility, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, and project management software.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Base Compensation: $93,000/yr - $101,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
