About the Job Our New York office is currently seeking a highly motivated Project Architect to lead our growing wood frame practice. The ideal candidate has
10+ years of professional experience in large-scale wood frame construction demonstrated through the completion of four or more projects of that typology. Experience in strategic growth and business development is a plus.
This is a unique opportunity to develop and lead the wood-frame sector of our practice, serving as a technical resource and guiding project teams while expanding our capabilities in this market sector. The position also provides the opportunity to build industry visibility, foster client relationships, support marketing and proposal efforts, and contribute directly to the continued growth of the firm.
Qualifications - Highly motivated, ambitious and strategically minded
- Professional degree in Architecture
- 10+ years of professional experience in large-scale wood frame multi-family residential construction projects
- Professional experience with Revit
- Fluency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and MS Office
- 3-D modeling and rendering experience preferred (Rhino, Enscape, Grasshopper, D5)
- Business development experience
- Excellent graphic presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with an aptitude for team collaboration and problem solving
- Strong critical thinking skills, an ability to carry out design concept to realization
- Working knowledge of building codes, zoning, ADA requirements, and other applicable standards
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the wood-frame sector of our practice
- Travel as required to build a client-base and oversee projects in development
- Day-to-day coordination with project team, including consultants
- Work closely with Project Managers to lead design teams from feasibility and concept design through documentation and construction administration
- Collaborate with design team in producing design documents and presentations for client and consultant meetings
- Direct and mentor junior staff
- Oversee the completion of architectural contract documents
- Administration of ongoing and future construction efforts
- Meet and manage client needs, in coordination with the various design team members and the construction team
Compensation & Benefits - Salary Range: $100,000-130,000 commensurate with experience

Remote Work PolicyTo support onboarding, training, and team integration, new hires are required to work from the office full-time during their first six months. After this initial onboarding period, employees transition to the firm's hybrid schedule of three in-office days and two optional remote days per week.
