Job DescriptionAs the "right hand" to the CPM, you will drive the operational engine of the program. You will act as the essential conduit between the CPM, the Finance department, and the Government customer, ensuring total compliance and precision in all deliverables. Beyond operational governance, you will provide critical support for the Special Communication Rapid Integration Facility (SCRIF), managing the unique requirements of this facility to ensure peak program readiness and mission success.
Key Responsibilities -
Operational Governance & Compliance
- Deliverable Management: Own the CDRL (Contract Data Requirements List) lifecycle; ensure the correct deliverables are submitted on time and align strictly with the Technical Direction Letter (TDL) and project requirements.
- Government Liaison: Act as the primary coordinator for obtaining COR (Contracting Officer's Representative) and KO (Contracting Officer) approvals for critical material and travel requests.
- SOW Alignment: Monitor program activities to ensure all deliverables and requests remain within the defined scope of work and project requirements and are being delivered under the accurate contract CDRL.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and monitor potential project risks and work with the CPM to develop and track mitigation strategies.
Financial Monitoring & Coordination -
- Financial Oversight: Partner with the Finance team to monitor program spend, labor forecasts, monthly contract reports, and funding plans, providing the CPM with real-time visibility into the program's financial health.
- Performance Tracking: Review financial reports to identify trends or variances, alerting the CPM to areas requiring strategic attention.
- Resource Coordination: Assist in the development of funding plans and labor forecasts to ensure operational needs are met.
Program Partnership & Execution -
- CPM Strategic Support: Serve as a dedicated business partner to the CPM, managing the operational "engine" so leadership can focus on high-level strategy and customer relations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridge the gap between program teams, functional partners, and the finance department to ensure all requirements are synchronized.
- Process Optimization: Implement continuous improvements to internal tracking and reporting workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of professional experience, with a strong emphasis on supporting prime government contracts.
- Demonstrated experience managing deliverables and navigating the requirements of the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL).
- Ability to interact professionally with government officials (COR/KO) and translate complex program needs into clear approval requests.
- Proven ability to self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict government and corporate policies.
- Strong ability to influence diverse teams and coordinate effectively across different organizational functions.
