JOB SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will be accountable for helping develop solutions that ensure we continue to deliver exceptional tools for the business to service our customers accurately and efficiently. Key to this position is the ability to provide technical leadership on latest development, testing and deployment technologies relative to Salesforce.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the scope and technical delivery of projects.
  • Coordinate development efforts with the team.
  • Provide hands-on solution consultancy in software system design and development of best practices and refactoring.
  • Apply technical knowledge to provide solutions that increase business value and minimize risk.
  • Develop shared reusable components to increase reusability and solution robustness.
  • Develop major SF components such as Apex, LWC and Flow
  • Be responsible for the quality of deliverables.
  • Participate in peer code reviews.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement, seek solutions and make recommendations.
  • Ensure consistent improvement in the team's iteration code velocity.
  • Manage rework (bug fixes) effort as a percentage of overall effort.
  • QA testing support and production defect support.

Experience/Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Minimum of 4 years IT Development Hands-on experience with the following tools and technologies:
    • JavaScript ES6/ES2015
    • HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, and Lightning Design System
    • Git and Version Control (Azure DevOps preferred), Visual Studio / VS Code
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with proficiency in designing, developing, and configuring solutions on the Salesforce platform including:
    • Salesforce Administrative Tools
    • Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
    • APEX Coding
    • Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visual Force
    • Salesforce Workflow Rules and Approvals, Visual Flow, Process Builder
    • Systems Integration tools (REST, SOAP, ETL) - MuleSoft preferred
    • Strong understanding of databases, Salesforce query language (incl. SOQL, SOSL), and are proficient in data modeling and data management

Required Education:
  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering (Information Technology) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of various design patterns.

Preferred Experience:
  • Salesforce Communities, Marketing Cloud
  • Experience using other development platforms (e.g., Angular/React, Microsoft .NET, Java) is preferred
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs (e.g., Twilio, DocuSign, etc.)
  • Experience using Agile Software Development methodology is preferred
  • Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, design, coding, unit/integration testing, and testing support activities (automation).
  • Efficiency with Test Driven Development

Compensation: $74,930 - $101,160 CAD Annual *This range reflects base pay only. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company & personal performance.
