In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA), we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability.
We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer with a strong ATCS background to lead the development of automated Hardware-in-the-Loop test capability for mission-critical advance compact electronic systems. This role involves automated verification, system-level testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high reliability and performance.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaison with a partner organization to leverage an existing automated test environment
- Configure and maintain test environments in the target facility
- Work with Systems Engineers and Electronic Warfare SMEs to automate existing procedures and analysis
- Perform verification and validation of software and hardware components.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering team to leverage new automated test environment into CI/CD pipelines
This is a fully onsite position at BAE System's Canal Street facility. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work on-site due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on-site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or math field, with 6+ years of experience
- Active SECRET security clearance
- Programming skills in C/C++ or Python or MATLAB.
- Capable of learning/using version control systems (Git, Gitlab)
- Comfortable working in an engineering lab environment and being hands on with test instrumentation
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Preferred Skills and Education
- Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test)
- Proficient with test equipment including RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multi-meters
- Possess an active Top Secret security clearance
- Field or Flight Test experience
