Position Description & Qualifications

As the energetic Program Operations Lead in Washington, DC, you will provide direct support to the U.S. Navy Frigate Program Office responsible for the acquisition, construction, testing, delivery, and lifecycle transition of surface combatants.

As a key member of the PMS 410 Program Office Support Team, you will leverage your expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, and problem solving to support Program Operations activities across the Navy's frigate program.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead a cross-functional team supporting Program Operations, including risk management, problem-solving, data management, and data visualization for PMS 410.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, performance metrics, and data-driven reporting tools to support leadership decision making and program visibility.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams to resolve complex programmatic issues and drive timely execution of cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Direct the preparations, review, and quality assurance of executive-level reports, briefings, correspondence, and other high-visibility deliverables.
  • Monitor program milestones, action items, and contract deliverables while identifying dependencies, bottlenecks, and execution risks.
  • Lead business process improvements by developing standardized procedures, governance frameworks, and automated workflow solutions.
  • Oversee SharePoint and knowledge management resources to improve information architecture, document management, and collaboration across the organization.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives and special projects to improve operational effectiveness and mission outcomes.


To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance within three months of hire or an Active/Current DoD security clearance
    • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree
    • Or an Associates degree with minimum 7years of relevant program office, ship production, or acquisition support experience
    • Or a High School Diploma/GED with minimum 9 years of relevant program office, ship production, or acquisition support experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant program office, ship production, or acquisition support experience
  • Strong proficiency in Power Bi and other Power Platforms
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of customer organizations
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, personnel, and deliverables simultaneously
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior Navy leadership, government civilians, and industry representatives
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interface with customers, stakeholders, and industry personnel, with particular attention to rapid generation of presentations for stakeholder leadership
  • Proficiency in the M365 software suite including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and technical report writing skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, as needed

Additional desired experience and skills:
  • Experience working in a Navy Shipbuilding Program Office or Supervisor of Shipbuilding.
