Who We're Looking For (Position Overview:)

The Program Manager serves as the central point of accountability for overall contract execution, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder communication across a multi-disciplinary information technology (IT) services environment. The role coordinates work across engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, development, and support teams while ensuring that deliverables, schedules, risks, and customer communications are managed effectively. This role is the overall point of contact for the work.

What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for overall task coordination and information flow between the delivery team and government stakeholders.
  • Lead project initiation and planning activities, including stakeholder coordination to define needs and objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans.
  • Assign work across contractor personnel, forecast labor burn, manage schedules, and oversee daily progress.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and project-related risks.
  • Act as the liaison between technical teams, the contracting officer's representative, and executive leadership to manage expectations and delivery visibility.
  • Help ensure deliverables meet requirements and quality expectations.


What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):

  • Ten years of experience in program or project management, including federal information technology (IT) or cybersecurity programs.
  • Ability to quantify and communicate specific recommendations in written and verbal formats.
  • Working understanding of IT and cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple concurrent activities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to define requirements and prepare task proposals, including budget and schedule development.
  • Experience with project management tools, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and evaluate deliverables against requirements.
  • Ability to meet federal screening and suitability requirements prior to start.


Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience.


Proposal & Employment Context

  • This position is tied to a federal proposal effort. Employment is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of the customer's onboarding and security requirements. Start dates and final reporting instructions will be confirmed upon award.
  • This contract authorizes remote work, but personnel may be required to work on-site at the customer's facilities in Washington, DC at the customer's discretion. The primary on-site location is Washington, DC. After-hours or weekend work may be required for operational changes that would otherwise disrupt users.
  • Location: Hybrid / Washington, DC
  • Work Model: Hybrid, with remote work authorized and on-site support required as directed by the customer.
  • All personnel must complete background screening and fingerprinting before starting work. This role requires a Public Trust Tier 2 suitability determination.
