Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager, Research.
The Program Manager-Research is responsible for overall lab and research management and operations, working to ensure the timely development of activities and execution of deliverables within the established program mission budget and timelines. Works closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and/or lab director and team to ensure research priorities and compliance are achieved
Job Responsibilities:- Develops and maintains a system for management of a multi-grant portfolio to ensure successful integration between schools, research sites and projects.
- Manages the coordination and completion of project activities on time, setting deadlines, assigning and tracking responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing the progress of projects.
- Anticipates and ensures research projects and related activities are supported by appropriate resources (personnel, fiscal, space, and equipment).
- Supervises staff including temps and per diems - which includes work allocation, training, promotion and enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution.
- Prepares progress reports to funding agencies and presentations to sponsoring and regulatory agencies. Prepares and provides reports to all necessary parties (e.g., the Principal Investigator, sponsoring agency, etc.) on the progress of the study as needed.
- Organizes and leads regular operations and finance meetings.
- Maintains awareness of study regulatory status and keeps an up-to-date copy of regulatory documents. Develops and oversees submission of necessary IRB documents, including follow-up with study staff to obtain appropriate paperwork and information, and completion of continuation paperwork.
- Develops and oversees project budget. Assists in the preparation of funding reports to funding agencies.
- Oversees budgets and finances that support the work of the Autonomic disorders division research staff. Create and implement both short run and long run plans to guide growth and financial stability of the research initiatives.
- Assists with data analysis, data management, and manuscript drafting, in conjunction
- with study PIs and Co-Investigators. Audits and manages data from and into databases.
- Prepares forms and reports, compiles and analyses data, statistics, and other materials for reports.
- Contributes to strategic planning to support continued growth of the lab.
- Interfaces and coordinates communication with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintains communication systems including web presence and social media presence in addition to assisting faculty on more traditional academic publication preparation.
- Works with Director to manage and coordinate CME Conferences and special events; including on-site logistics, i.e. food & beverage, AV, conference services, etc.
- Manages the administrative and daily operations of an institutional program, ensuring compliance with SOM guidelines, and state and federal policies and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years total related progressive experience with at least 2 years serving in a lead capacity over research projects. Strong management skills, financial expertise, strategic planning skills and grant writing. Proficiency in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook. Excellent oral, written, and communication skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management; must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external parties. Ability to work within a team environment and independently with limited supervisory oversight. Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to organize complex tasks to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in research or research management and interest in health policy and outcomes.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $84,577.93 - $109,200.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
