Summary

You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the ENGINEERING AND CYBER WARFARE GROUP/AVIATION/SHIP INTEFRATION OFC of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Duties

Help

  • You will direct and supervise the execution of all work efforts to meet aviation requirements.
  • You will provide management direction to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leaders and personnel from government and contract organizations.
  • You will exercise full managerial authority, including planning work to evaluate performance and recommend awards.
  • You will identify training needs to interview candidates for positions.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
  • This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA).
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1) Senior-level program/organizational leadership experience; 2) Aviation and/or ship-system integration experience; 3) Complex defense acquisition/program management experience; 4) Experience leading multidisciplinary government/contractor teams; 5) Experience coordinating technical, acquisition, cost, schedule, performance, and risk requirements across multiple stakeholders.
