Full Job Description
Program Manager, People & Places PPMO
Los Angeles or Southern CA preferred
remote considered, Pacific Time Zone residency required

Role Overview:

The People & Places Project and Portfolio Management Office helps turn organizational priorities into coordinated, successful outcomes. We partner across People & Places and the broader business to bring clarity to complex initiatives, strengthen cross-functional execution, and provide leaders with transparent insight into progress, risks, decisions, and capacity.

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a varied portfolio of strategic, operational, and employee-focused initiatives. This role will partner with functional leaders, sponsors, subject-matter experts, and cross-functional teams to translate objectives into executable plans, facilitate timely decisions, manage dependencies and risks, and sustain momentum from initiation through adoption and closeout.

The successful candidate will be a pragmatic and influential delivery leader who is comfortable working through ambiguity, builds trust across organizational boundaries, and adapts the level of structure to the needs of each initiative. Technical program experience is helpful but not required; success in this role depends more heavily on sound judgment, stakeholder leadership, communication, and the ability to drive outcomes in a complex global organization.

This position is part of a lean, collaborative PPMO. Program Managers independently lead assigned initiatives while collaborating with one another, the Change Manager, functional leaders, sponsors, and the PPMO Director. Each team member also contributes to portfolio visibility, shared delivery standards, and the continued evolution of the PPMO's operating practices.

The successful candidate must reside within the Pacific Time Zone. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Southern California region, however, candidates elsewhere in the Pacific Time Zone may be considered based on experience and overall fit

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead complex, cross-functional programs and initiatives across People & Places and partner organizations, adapting the delivery approach to each initiative's priority, complexity, risk, and change impact.
  • Partner with sponsors and stakeholders to clarify intended outcomes, scope, success measures, decision rights, roles, milestones, and delivery expectations.
  • Translate strategic objectives and evolving business needs into practical, integrated program plans and workstream roadmaps.
  • Coordinate related projects, workstreams, and dependencies to ensure their collective outcomes support broader program objectives.
  • Facilitate alignment and decision-making across stakeholders with different priorities, perspectives, and levels of authority.
  • Identify and actively manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and key decisions; escalate matters with clear options and recommendations.
  • Establish an appropriate rhythm of working sessions, delivery reviews, leadership touchpoints, and status communications.
  • Produce concise, decision-oriented updates that provide transparency into progress, program health, risks, dependencies, and required leadership action.
  • Partner with the Change Manager and functional leaders to assess change impact and support stakeholder engagement, communications, readiness, training, adoption, and transition activities.
  • Maintain accurate program and portfolio information in Asana and contribute to portfolio reporting, intake, prioritization, and capacity-planning activities.
  • Support business readiness and operational handoff so delivered capabilities, processes, and services can be sustained after implementation.
  • Apply PPMO standards and tools with judgment, scaling delivery structure and oversight to the needs of each initiative.
  • Contribute to the continued improvement of PPMO practices, templates, portfolio insights, and ways of working.
  • Build trusted relationships and foster a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented delivery environment.

What We're Looking For
  • At least six years of progressively responsible project or program management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs and workstreams through influence in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong experience converting ambiguous objectives into clear outcomes, integrated plans, milestones, responsibilities, and decisions.
  • Ability to connect individual initiatives and workstreams to broader strategic objectives and intended business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information and prepare concise, executive-ready updates.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder-management, and conflict-resolution skills, with the confidence to surface difficult issues constructively.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to determine when greater structure, escalation, or leadership involvement is needed.
  • Experience managing program risks, dependencies, decisions, scope, schedules, and competing priorities.
  • A practical, adaptable approach that balances delivery discipline with the needs and culture of the business.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with other Program Managers, the Change Manager, functional leaders, sponsors, and the PPMO Director.
  • Experience using modern project, program, and collaboration platforms. The ability to learn and consistently apply the team's Asana-based portfolio practices is required.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and improving the employee and stakeholder experience.
  • Current residency within the Pacific Time Zone.

What Will Help You Stand Out
  • Experience delivering People, HR, workplace, employee-experience, and/or organizational programs.
  • Experience operating in a global, matrixed technology, entertainment, or similarly fast-paced organization.
  • Experience supporting senior executives and facilitating decisions across multiple functions or regions.
  • Experience coordinating multiple related workstreams, projects, or organizational dependencies.
  • Experience partnering with change-management professionals on organizational readiness, communications, adoption, or transition activities.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Workday, ServiceNow, Greenhouse, or workplace-management systems.
  • Experience with Asana or another portfolio management platform.
  • Experience establishing or improving project, program, and portfolio management practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience; preferred, PgMP, PMP, or comparable program, project, agile, or change-management certification is a plus.
  • Residence in Southern California.
