Program Manager - Manufacturing Operations SafetyOverviewIntePros is seeking a Program Manager to support manufacturing operations by driving the execution of critical safety initiatives across a high-volume production environment. This role serves as the operational lead for safety follow-through, partnering with operations, engineering, facilities, maintenance, training, and environmental health and safety (EHS) teams to ensure incidents, corrective actions, contractor onboarding, and safety programs are completed efficiently and on time.
The ideal candidate has experience working in manufacturing or industrial operations, is comfortable spending significant time on the production floor, and thrives in fast-paced environments where ownership, accountability, and proactive problem-solving are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and drive execution of operational safety programs across assigned production areas and shifts.
- Support incident reporting, documentation, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Track safety-related action items through completion, escalating aging or blocked issues when necessary.
- Conduct behavioral safety audits and provide real-time coaching to reinforce safe work practices.
- Support contractor onboarding by verifying required training, competency, and ongoing compliance.
- Coordinate execution of pre-production safety readiness checklists before operational activities begin.
- Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor to monitor adherence to SOPs, housekeeping standards, equipment operation, and overall safety expectations.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, Learning & Development, and EHS teams to resolve safety-related issues and remove operational roadblocks.
- Prepare regular reports summarizing safety metrics, open actions, trends, risks, and program performance.
- Help drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing incidents and improving overall operational safety performance.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing operations, industrial safety, EHS support, program management, production leadership, or a related field.
- Experience supporting incident investigations, corrective action management, and safety program execution.
- Experience conducting behavioral safety observations or coaching employees on safe work practices.
- Comfortable working on an active manufacturing or production floor.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional operational teams.
- Strong documentation and follow-up skills.
