Program Manager Hybrid (Must report onsite as needed)
Description:Diversified Systems is searching for a Program Manager to successfully direct, control, administer, and regulate the modernization and re-write of a software application based on .NET technology. The Program Manager's primary responsibility is to drive the entire software re-write from start to finish and ensure the final product meets the business, technical, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities:- Design project plans, which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
- Require a thorough knowledge of project management methodology and approaches to incorporate sufficient collaboration, transparency, and feedback loops. Ensure that proper project management processes are followed.
- Be responsible for the development, adjustment, and revision of estimates in planning, analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Utilize risk and scope management to define, monitor, and control scope, budget, and timelines, especially in high-risk modernization scenarios.
- Maintain strong interpersonal skills to keep sponsors, developers, operations, and end users aligned and informed of program management metrics.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address technical debt, integration challenges, and unforeseen dependencies.
- Notify team leaders of project timelines, milestones, phases, work requests, target dates, and approved executable work packages.
- Require an understanding of application architecture, refactoring, re-architecting, or rebuilding strategies.
- Analyze legacy systems and integration points to determine modernization paths.
- Apply familiarity with cloud technologies, microservices, and modern DevOps practices.
- Utilize project and portfolio management tools including Clarity PPM, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and other off-the-shelf operational systems.
Requirements:- 4-year college degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with a focus on Technology required.
- At least one Project Management certification such as PMP or PMI-ACP required. Other Agile/Scrum certifications highly desired.
- 8 years of experience in projects that involved legacy system migration, re-factoring, or modernization required.
- Experience with Project & Portfolio Management tools such as Clarity PPM, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and other off-the-shelf operational systems required.
- Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, Microservices, and modern DevOps practices required.
- Experience with Legacy Systems Analysis and Integration points to determine modernization paths required.
- Understanding of Application Architecture, Refactoring, Re-architecting, or Rebuilding Strategies required.
- Experience leading teams across development, operations, security, and business functions required.
