Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with deep underwriting expertise to lead large-scale insurance delivery portfolios. The role involves managing global teams, ensuring operational excellence, driving profitability, and providing subject matter expertise in underwriting and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end insurance delivery portfolios with accountability for quality, SLA adherence, and profitability
Manage and mentor global teams delivering underwriting support, policy servicing, and risk assessment
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client-specific underwriting guidelines
Provide SME support in underwriting, including risk assessment, pricing, and policy issuance
Review complex underwriting cases and provide decision support
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on productivity and cost optimization
Design and implement underwriting frameworks, SOPs, and best practices
Ensure accurate risk evaluation aligned with company risk appetite and underwriting guidelines
Required Skills (Must-Have)
Strong experience in insurance underwriting (life/P&C/health)
Proven track record in program or delivery management
Expertise in risk assessment, pricing, and policy issuance
Experience managing large/global teams
Strong knowledge of SLA management, quality metrics, and operational KPIs
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and underwriting guidelines
Ability to review complex underwriting cases and provide sound decisions
Experience in process improvement and cost optimization
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Skills (Good-to-Have)
Experience in digital underwriting / automation initiatives
Exposure to insurance transformation or consulting programs
Knowledge of analytics tools or data-driven underwriting approaches
Certifications in insurance (e.g., CPCU, AINS) or project management (PMP, Agile)
Experience with workflow tools or underwriting systems/platforms
Lean / Six Sigma exposure for process improvement

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
