Program Management Specialist (Guidance SSC Program Management)
Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) organization within Precision Engagement Systems (PES) is seeking a Guidance SSC Program Manager/Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leader (Level L) based in Heath, OH or Ogden, UT supporting Minuteman III Programs.
The Guidance SSC IPT Leader will lead all aspects of the Minuteman III guidance subsystem to include accuracy analysis, pre and post flight assessment, operational assessment, all inertial instrument and hardware component anomaly investigations, performance assessment database system (PADS), integration test bed and guidance battery from the requirements, design, integration, test, sustainment and support to repair/production. The Guidance SSC PM is responsible for the technical, schedule, and financial execution of their IPT’s scope of work. The IPT leader will ensure collaboration and integration across the Minuteman III Program teams.
Position Responsibilities:
• Manages employees and managers engaged in executing the Guidance SSC scope of work.
• Develop and execute integrated organizational plans, and guide the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives working with our deployed Engineering capabilities and Functions to deliver on our contractual commitments.
• Manage and drive Technical Excellence and First Time Quality.
• Acquire resources for organizational activities, provide technical management of suppliers/subcontractors and lead process improvements.
• Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Manage, develop and motivate employees and managers.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions, or initiatives
• 5+ years of experience in program management of technical programs for aerospace or other engineering business areas
• 3+ years of experience in a management role working with both direct reports and business unit leaders
• 3+ years of experience with RIO (Risks, Issues and Opportunities) processes and tools
• 3+ years of financial experience (Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Level Of Effort (LOE))
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• 10+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions, or initiatives
• 10+ years of experience managing risks, cost performance and schedule performance
• 10+ years of experience in program management of technical programs for aerospace or other engineering business areas
• 8+ years of experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
• 8+ years of experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects
• 8+ years of financial experience
• Active U.S. Secret (or higher) Clearance
