Position Description: The Program Lead is responsible for driving operational efficiency across purchasing, item management, and cross-functional program initiatives. This role oversees purchase order activity and item lifecycle management while ensuring alignment across supply chain, finance, and development teams.
Acting as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, this position plays a critical role in maintaining seamless operations, optimizing processes, and ensuring timely access to necessary goods and services. This part-time opportunity offers broad visibility across multiple business functions and is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly organized, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment.
This position is located in Atlanta, GA in a hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee purchase order processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely submission across teams
• Develop and maintain standardized procurement procedures across multiple vendors and distributors
• Monitor purchasing activity to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key vendor relationships, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution
• Evaluate vendor performance, tracking service levels and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Partner with internal teams to align purchasing activities with broader organizational objectives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support demand planning and proactively address supply needs
• Establish contingency plans to mitigate risk and ensure continuity of operations
• Prepare and deliver reporting on purchasing trends, spend analysis, and vendor performance for leadership
• Stay current on system updates and serve as a subject matter resource for internal users
• Oversee end-to-end item management, including setup, maintenance, classification, and lifecycle governance across systems
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancements and system integrations
Required Qualifications
• A minimum of 7+ years of project management, program management, procurement operations is required.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities across cross-functional teams
• Effective time management skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality work in a part-time capacity
• Strategic mindset with the ability to connect operational activities to broader business goals
• Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority
• Experience working across multiple systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
• Experience managing vendor relationships and driving performance accountability

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,800.00 - $232,200.00.
