Job Overview & ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly skilled Program Control Leader to join our Finance organization to support our Launch Operations. In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of Cost, Schedule and Program Control Analysts responsible for enterprise financial budgeting, estimating at complete (EAC), risk management, and schedule integration. The ideal candidate is a strategic business partner with deep knowledge of program management principles, earned value methodologies, and enterprise-wide program execution.
This role requires a strong ability to collaborate across operational, technical, and financial functions while driving continuous improvement and ensuring disciplined execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a Cost, Schedule and Program Control team responsible for work authorizations, the monthly business cycle, performance measurement, metrics development, financial analysis, and communication of program results.
- Integrate with cross-functional teams across contracts, estimating, overhead/rates, FP&A, engineering, accounting, and operations.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to engineering, production, and launch operations with a focus on cost and schedule performance.
- Maintain strong communication with leadership and external customers, offering insights and solutions that drive business results.
- Oversee analysis of operating unit financials including long-range planning, forecasting, reporting, EAC analysis, working capital, and earned value management.
- Ensure execution within approved financial budgets, EACs, and contractual terms.
- Support strategic cost-transformation initiatives that contribute to enterprise cost-reduction goals.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure effective and efficient program control operations.
- Ensure master plans and schedules are followed, proactively resolving program challenges, and guiding the team to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Required EducationBachelor
Required Years of ExperienceMinimum of 8 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications- At least 8 years of relevant experience, plus a minimum of 2 years of experience managing people, project management and/or team lead experience.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Strong cost-management background.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of management and with unique customer groups.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience EVM tools or accounting systems, preferably Deltek OPP, Cobra, and SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
