Full Job Description
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is currently seeking candidates for a full-time Program and Operations Specialist, GG-0301-14, located at the AF/A6 Executive Support Section at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.

Alternate physical location may will be at JB Anacostia - Bolling, Washington D.C.

Salary Range: $143,000 - $163,000

Relocation and Recruitment Incentives: May be available based on eligibility.

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.

Depending on the type of position you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period or 2-year trial period.

Join the Deputy Chief of Staff for Warfighter Communications and Cyber Systems (AF/A6). As an executive-level advisor and Director of Staff partner, you will direct staff efforts, collaborate with senior leaders, and exercise managerial authority. Central to driving strategy, you'll shape key policies and products empowering Air Force Cyber and Comm missions worldwide.

US citizenship is required.

Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.

Must sign a non-disclosure agreement.

This is a designated drug testing position.

Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations, theories, principles, practices, and the interrelationship of the following functions: Information technology and communications, comptroller, safety, manpower, military/civilian personnel and training, Equal Employment Opportunity, security, plans, programs, operations logistics, research, analysis and data as they relate to A6.

Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures of MAJCOMs, JECC, DOW, Services, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and other government agencies/activities, including contractual industries that govern, interface with, or influence A6 mission requirements and accomplishments.

Expert ability to develop, adapt, modify, and apply advanced management principles and techniques to define, clarify, and resolve problems, negotiate and defend findings and alternative solutions to senior management.

Broad knowledge of AF warfighter communications networks, enterprise IT systems, and cyber capabilities sufficient to oversee strategic planning, policy development, and cross-functional integration.
