Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

This position is located in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to be used agency wide. The mission of the DMV is to promote the safe operation of motor vehicles and public safety while providing outstanding customer service. The purpose of this position is to assess the daily operations of the Vehicle Points System (VPS) program ensuring all vehicles that have been assessed 10 or more vehicle infraction points within a six-month period are identified for immobilization and impoundment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts program analyses of moderate scale and impact, concerning all aspects of current or projected operating programs for actual or potential effectiveness in achieving planned goals and objectives .Resolves customer issues, complaints, and data reporting inaccuracies related to VPS program enrollment and participation. Collaborates with the VPS Program Coordinator who oversees the daily operation and performance of the VPS program compliance, accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.

Provides information and guidance to internal and external customers regarding driver license status, vehicle registration status, enrollment requirements, program activities, and other VPS related situations that require a detailed understanding of the system. Monitors projects, and integrated reporting system(s) affecting VPS throughout the activity. Communicates information to VPS Program Coordinator for effective evaluation of program operations and milestones. Analyzes, extracts, summarizes, and identifies significant trends and issues. Forecasts and estimates program requirements and prepares programmatic reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data, etc., for presentations and briefings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.

The work is performed in an adequately heated, lighted and ventilated non-smoking environment. The work is primarily sedentary in nature.
